Sperm donor anonymity and future contact
Can I get in touch with the donor in the future?
If you have chosen a Non-anonymous Donor, your child will have the possibility of getting in contact with the donor in the future. If you have chosen an Anonymous Donor, Cryos will never reveal the identity of the donor.
When you have registered a pregnancy, you will be able to download a Donor Child Certificate. You will find the certificate by logging in to your account. You can add the name and date of birth of your child to the certificate.
If the donor is Non-anonymous, the child can contact Cryos once he or she turns 18 and present the Donor Child Certificate to get the donor’s contact information. Unfortunately, Cryos cannot guarantee that the donor will want to establish contact in the future.
If you have further questions, please contact Customer Service.
How can my child get in contact with the donor?
When you have registered your pregnancy using your login, you will be able to download a PDF file called “Donor Child Certificate” (DCC).
You can then add the name and date of birth of your child.
At the age of 18 the child can contact Cryos and present the DCC for further information about the donor: name, address and ID-Number.
